All Natural Pet Foods by Janine Carter

With all the scares in the news today about dangers with many commercial dog food we all must be a little more careful choosing what food we purchase for our pets.  Some owners are beginning to make their own dog food and still more are going to ALL NATURAL dog foods available on the market right now.

One of the best ingredients for all natural dog food is protein. Ingredients such as Chicken Meal, Whole Wheat Flour, Ground Rice, Lamb Meal, all are good human grade ingredients to find in your commercial dog food. Natural dog food helps your pet maintain better health.  Meats, mainly chicken should be used and grains are a great ingredient too.  Make sure the label says, human grade before purchasing.

Your dog's dail amount of food is calculated based on its weight.  To decide how much to feed your dog, you need to know his approximate weight and follow the directions on the bag based on that.  You might give the entire amount at one meal, or split it up between morning and evening feedings.

Another thing to consider is what size the food is.  Some manufactures offer a larger bite food for larger dogs and a smaller kibble size for smaller dogs.  Often, feeding a small size to large dogs will make them choke because they can not get a bite on the smaller chunks. Or they just swallow them whole without chewing at all.  Small dogs find it hard to chew a really large size chunk.

Our dog food of choice here at Pampered Pets is Flint River Ranch.  Their food is all natural, human grade food that is baked fresh every day and shipped factory direct to assure freshness.  They ship all over the country and have different formulas for the different needs of cats and dogs.
